Juma Hotel

Juma RestaurantThe Juma is one of the newest hotel of forest of Amazon beginning its activities on January 2002 and it is ready to receive you. Located the 100 km of Manaus, approximately three hours by boat, it was built in Terra-Firme (not flooded area) area on stilts, covered with Babaçu palm tree leaves in front of the calm waters of Juma River. This kind of construction is typical for flooded area supporting the flood season when the levels of the rivers can higher 15 meters. The lodge has ten (10) comfortable rooms and eight (8) bungalows. The bungalows are facing the lake and sitting among the treetops at 15 meters above the water, located in an exclusive area of the lodge, offering total privacy. All apartments are comfortable, with private bathroom(cold water shower), fan and balcony. The restaurant is also built on stilts. The tables (and benches) are long and curved, creatively carved out of a light, blond wood. The meals are in a buffet-style, with regional cuisine.

The row materials used in its construction, abundant in the region, had been carefully extracted of the proper forest. Wood such as Angelim, Itaúba, Acariquara, Tintarana and Jacareúba were used in the walls, walkways and stilts. The leaves of Babaçu covered the lodge in the same process used in the houses of the riverines. Beyond the environment concerns, the Juma offers excellent infra structure for a jungle lodge. Juma roomThe rooms have screened windows, fan and verandah, pleasant typical decoration and electric power. Check power engine time in the reception (Normally from 6:00AM to 6:00PM). Its excursions are the truest, offering to the guest a close contact with the forest and its people.
