Amazonat
Jungle Lodge
The Amazonat Jungle Lodge is
located in AM 10 road, 160 km far of Manaus, capital of
Amazonas State. It comprehends an area of 300 hectares,
located in firm land ("Terra Firme"), which
means not flooding, but possessing water sources, small
creeks (igarapés) and an enormous diversity of fauna and
flora. The leisure center has two
swimming pools, one volley square, gym equipment made of
wood, fishing lake and an area with 14 km of trails
inside the forest.
In addition, it possesses 15 hectares cultivated with more than 20,000
fruitful trees, mainly original in the region, looking
like "Eden Garden".
Note: All wood used in Amazonat construction was acquired from "Mil Madeiras". Mil Madeiras is
a company certified by "FSC - Forest Stewardship Council A.C." Smartwood.
 The comfortable bungalows consist
of living room, independent bedroom and private bathroom.
In the living room, the sofa bed can comfortable
accommodates one adult or two children. The bungalows with verandah offer a nice view of the lodge and the forest.
The
Arara's restaurant was built in the regional style (malocas):
in opened area, covered for great palm leaves. Its
paintings and decorations of local artists give a
tropical air. There, the guests meet each other for meals
and "the Happy Hour". It is also a place for playing games (cards, domino and billiards) or
watching TV documentaries about the region. The kitchen
is specialized in regional, international and vegetarian
plates. The water comes from a mineral source of first
quality and the electricity comes of a proper generator
working 24 hours per day.
The
packages depart from Manaus (Hotel or airport) in the
afternoon and return in the morning of the last day.
Jungle Survival Camps
In order fully exploration of the rainforest, two jungle campsites have been constructed in addition to the lodge proper.
These two survival camps are located at 4 and 7 kilometers (roughly 2 and 4 miles) from the lodge. In one of these campsites, you can spend one or more nights under authentic jungle conditions.
The Jane’s Place campsite is the nearest located about 2 hours walking from the lodge.
Jane’s Place is highly popular with guests who stay for shorter periods.
The more experienced and adventurous traveler will be allowed to walk the 3 hours hike to the second site called Indian Camp. From Indian Camp you can make even longer, multiple-day expeditions with one of our experienced guides.

day |
Pick up at airport or hotel lobby with 2 hour car transfer to Amazonat Jungle Lodges. Check in
with welcome drink and introduction formalities required for the coming days. Check in apartment.
Introductions walk demonstrating the infrastructure of the Lodges that include orchid parks, lake(s),
study corner, library, cyber corner, souvenir and homeopathic shop. After this tour we continue with a
nocturnal walk into the primary forest with encounters with insects, frogs, birds and giant spiders that in
combination with the typical jungle sound will give the guests an idea for the days to follow. |
2nd and 3rd
days |
Two days Jungle Trek with overnight Jane's Place, or , when the weather permits,
somewhere in the deep forest. Days are dedicated to demonstrate bio-diversity and the various ecosystems
dominating in a rainforest. Guide will show survival techniques for longer stays. Return 2nd day in late
afternoon.

4 and 5th
days |
Start of a 2 - day Amazon River expedition. Departure from the Amazonat base on
the riverbank in the Amazon. Destination is the Madeira River where the hosts of the coming night are
operating a small farm. Neide makes her own cheese and Raimundo takes care for the cattle and fruit
plantation. The trip to this destination gives an idea of the vast water mass and the rough and rich nature.
Encounters with the unexpected are guaranteed on this trip. Birds like hoatzin and manatees, pink
dolphins, water buffalos, giant water lilies, are few of these highlights. It is on this photographic
expedition that life-long memories are built. Return to Amazonat Jungle Lodge in late afternoon day 5. |

day |
Relaxing day to recover from the impressions and adventures of the days behind. The
infrastructure of the Lodge offers many opportunities to relax or keeps one busy. |

day |
Activity. Early 7:30 a.m. transfer by van to Manaus with visit the Meeting of the Waters by
means of motorized canoe, and/or short visit to the Opera Building prior drop off airport for
connecting flight or hotel. |

day |

after Tarzan's wife: Jane's Place. Opportunity to relax or take a bath in the small stream named Igarapé.
For the more adventurous guest the option is offered to spend the upcoming night in a hammock to
experience the surrounding rainforest at first hand. (Included in package) |

Full day into Amazon River and its region.
Full day visit to Amazon River with visit to a small community, boat tour of the region to demonstrate
the natural wealth in both flora and fauna day created by the giant Amazon River. This day will bring
guest eye in eye with grey and pink dolphins, sloth's, iguana's, giant water lilies and numerous rare birds.
Fishing for piranha or catfish, unforgettable sunset moments and alligator spotting completes this day
with a scheduled return of 8 p.m. in the Lodges. |

day |
Full day exploring the black water Urubu River that includes a visit to flooded forests or swims or
strolls from one of the many white beaches this river is known for. In contrast to the wealthy Amazon
River this Urubú River is known for its surrealistic sceneries to fully compensate of the absence a rich
flora and fauna caused by the acid black water. A local family trying to survive for generations by growing
manioc is one of the excursions planned. Return in the late afternoon to the lodges. |

day |
Early 7:30 a.m. car-transfer to Manaus with visit to the Meeting of the Waters or short visit to
the Opera Building. Return airport in time for connecting flight or hotel in Manaus. |

Additional Information
Package Includes:
Packages include transfers, accommodation, full board, tours and guides. Mineral water found in the apartments is free of charge. All other beverages as sold in the bar are charged extra.
Check in/out:
All standard packages are based on arrivals and departures in the early afternoon, i.e. noon till 2 p.m.
Early arriving guests will have to wait for later arriving guests before departure to Lodges.
All checkouts at Amazonat Jungle Lodge are at 7.30 a.m. NO late check out.
Guests cannot hold Amazonat liable for missed package activities due to changes or delays in arrival or departure time by air carriers.
Amazonat maintains the right to cancel city tour and/or Meeting of the Waters trip without reimbursement when departure schedule for guest is in jeopardy.
Transfers:
In case of late flight arrivals due to delays, Amazonat will decide time of transfer and inform guest on arrival.
Transfer time to Amazonat Jungle Lodge from Manaus International Airport is 2 hours in our air-conditioned vans.
Luggage Limits:
Luggage weight accepted is the same as that advertised by all international air carriers: max. 30 kg, or two pieces of luggage per person.
